Marcelle Askew
Eco Commerce is directed by its founder, Marcelle Askew, a market communications consultant. American by birth, she received her MBA from the RSM Erasmus University in the Netherlands. She has lived and worked in several places in the United States, Latin America and Europe and speaks English, Spanish and Norwegian. Askew is based in Norway, which has been her home for about 15 years.
Before founding Eco Commerce, Askew worked in the Norwegian office of the international marketing consultancy Yankelovich, where she was responsible for managing both Norwegian and international strategic marketing and brand building projects.
Prior to joining Yankelovich, Askew led a project for the Norwegian Export Council on effective means to assist small and medium sized businesses in their search for international business partners.
Eco Commerce is a result of her enthusiasm for marketing and her firm belief that it is both possible and wise to combine socially and environmentally friendly values with excellent financial performance.
